I received my M.D. from Indiana University in 1997. I completed Family Medicine Residency at Ball Hospital in Muncie, Indiana in 2000. With 14 years of full-time ER experience, I can treat a wide spectrum of injuries and illnesses, from newborns to the elderly.
I live in Austin with my wife Jill, and our two children, Max and Kate. I love great literature (Victor Hugo and Ayn Rand are my favorites), great music, and great art. I have a special interest in the work of Maria Montessori, as well as in snorkeling and scuba diving. I am a saltwater aquarium enthusiast with a soft spot for clownfish.
We provide a wide range of treatment in the office including preventative care, well child check-ups, sick visits, routine gynecological care, chronic disease education and management (hypertension, diabetes, asthma, COPD, etc). We provide minor emergency care such as laceration/wound repair, minor fracture care, abscess I&D, etc. All care is oriented toward your interests and your health goals. I believe in giving maximum value for your health care dollar, so most services we provide in our office are covered under your membership fees. Any additional charges are minimal and clearly noted up front. Our fees and pricing are transparent. If you can get a better deal anywhere, we want to know about it.
Most of what we can do in the Direct MD Austin office is included in your membership. That includes in-office tests, treatments, medications, procedures, and much more. No hidden costs, no mysteries, no bills arriving weeks or months later with “sticker shock” and unexpected charges.
